MARLEY UNVEILS ALL-IN-ONE DIGITAL PLATFORM TO SIMPLIFY ROOFING SPECIFICATION

Marley has launched a new Technical Tools platform, providing specifiers with a faster, clearer, and more transparent route to roofing specification.

The new online platform brings together a suite of digital specification tools within a single interface, allowing users to generate fully compliant roofing specifications without the need to navigate multiple systems or repeatedly input project data.

By creating an account, specifiers can unlock additional flexibility, including multi-plot functionality and an archive that stores past and current projects for complete traceability.

NBS Specification available as standard

With NBS Specification frequently required during the early design stages to assess product suitability and subsequently passed on to roofing contractors, Marley’s Technical Tools addresses both requirements in one place.

Specifiers can generate NBS Specification documents that clearly define the scope of works for the roofing installation, covering the suitability of selected roof tiles, fittings, systems, and accessories based on project-specific criteria. Key installation requirements are presented in a clear, bullet-point format, supporting accuracy, coordination, and ease of use throughout the project lifecycle.

Integrated solar PV configurator introduced

For the first time, specifiers can incorporate a solar PV array directly within the platform using an intuitive configurator. The tool calculates panel numbers, associated flashings, and accessories, and provides guidance on expected kW output. It also automatically adjusts roof tile quantities to reflect the inclusion of solar PV, delivering a fully transparent overview of materials and installation requirements with solar PV designed in from the outset.

Dan Redfern Head of Marketing Communications at Marley, said: “The new Technical Tools platform has been developed to remove complexity from the roofing specification process.

“The addition of the integrated solar configurator represents an industry first and responds directly to growing demand for renewable technologies. It enables architects to specify solar PV as an integral part of the roof design, supporting knowledge-building and confidence as solar becomes increasingly commonplace.”
